2026 Pride StoryBundle

It’s Pride again, and Catherine Lundoff and I have curated another StoryBundle collection to celebrate. Despite the increasing pressure on our community, there was no shortage of excellent queer fiction out there, and the hardest part was choosing among so many excellent possibilities. What we’ve come up with is, I think, a sampler of what queer SF/F writers have to offer. There are 10 novels, two novellas, three anthologies and a single-author short story collection; the genres include everything from cyberpunk to space opera and fantasies that range from hilarious to heroic to deceptively quiet. The main thing they have in common, though, is their unrepentant queerness. In these stories, queerness may be threatened, or celebrated, or merely ordinary, but it is never invisible, and it is never a sin to be punished. These are works of joy and resilience, describing a range of identities — a snapshot of the community in all its complexity.

I think it’s more important than ever to share this — to revel in it — when we are more than ever under threat. We need the stories, all the stories: stories of resistance, stories of love, stories to make us laugh, stories that make us cry, and, always, stories that make us think. We need stories that offer possibilities, because we will change the world. Again.

As always, StoryBundle lets you decide what to pay. For $5, you get the basic 3-book bundle; if you pay the bonus price of $30, you get the 3 regular books plus 13 more — a total of 16 queer SF/F books. StoryBundle also allows its patrons to donate part of the payment to a related charity, and this year we’re again supporting Rainbow Railroad, a NGO that helps LGBT+ people escape state-sponsored persecution and violence worldwide.
