Another winner for Ms. Scott!

I enjoyed this immensely. Melissa Scott is wonderful at world building, and Water Horse does not disappoint! New approach to magic – nature-based – and just strong enough to matter and turn events, without being overpowering…. The action moves around from place and person, to give you the overview that comes together when needed. Also good to show that not all the “villains” are evil, and no one is one-dimensional. More complex than many of Ms. Scott’s novels, more names and places to keep track of, but well worth it.
